Yes, the TEDx. Right here in Marksville, Louisiana.

On Sunday, August 24, women from all walks of life, including entrepreneurs, community leaders, educators, and change-makers, will take the stage at the historic Fox Theater to share powerful ideas and stories under the theme: “Changing the Narrative.” It’s the first event of its kind in our area, and it’s already creating a buzz across Central Louisiana.

But this is more than just an event. It’s a movement.

Ashley has always dreamed of creating spaces where minority and Indigenous women from rural and underserved communities could be seen, heard, and celebrated. Through IAmSimplyBeautiful Global, she’s helped women rise in confidence, leadership, and purpose. TEDxMarksville Women is the next evolution of that mission.

“TEDxMarksville Women is more than a stage—it’s a statement,” Ashley says. “We are rewriting the script for what leadership, strength, and vision look like in our communities.”
